Recovery: Personal Care

Nail services, massage services, esthetician, skin care, electrolysis, cosmotology services, tatoo and piercing services can resume immediately with safeguards as Los Angeles County moves forward on the Roadmap to Recovery.

Do I have to wear a mask?

Clients are required to wear face coverings at all times while in the facility. You may remove the face covering only when receiving a service that involves that part of the face, such as a face wax.

Will my temperature be taken before a service?

Temperature checks are at the discretion of the establishment. However, clients will be verbally screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival. If the customer is exhibiting any symptoms, has been sick, or has been exposed to someone who has been sick, the appointment is rescheduled at least 14 days in the future. Symptom checks may include coughing, shortness of breath and fever.

Staff will also be screened for symptoms.

Anyone feeling sick should stay home.

Can I get a manicure?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get a pedicure?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get eyelash extensions?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get a face wax?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get my body waxed?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get electrolysis?

No.

Can I get my makeup done?

Yes, but it has to be conducted outdoors.

Can I get a facial?

Yes.

Can I get a facial piercing?

No.

No.

Can I bring a friend with me?

No, only the person receiving the service and parents/guardians accompanying a minor may enter a facility.

Will these facilities have additional cleaning and disinfecting requirements?
